We understand that, in industry, every minute counts. That's why responsiveness is an integral part of our approach. Whether it's to answer a question, provide a quote or carry out maintenance, we act quickly to minimise disruption to your operations.

Our ability to respond effectively strengthens the trust between us and the companies we serve.

Reliability: a partner you can rely on

Our team remains flexible and responsive to your specific requirements. We buy machines according to demand and the market, so we can offer you a variety of equipment to suit your projects. Once you've expressed an interest in a machine, we can carry out a full diagnostic to assess its functionality. You then have the choice of buying it as is or taking advantage of our personalised reconditioning service.

We consider our mission to be fulfilled when your machines operate in accordance with your requirements. We ensure the longevity and performance of your investments thanks to our after-sales service and our solid technical expertise.

This continuous growth is the result of a clear vision: to offer ever more effective machine solutions tailored to your needs.

1956

The birth of a mechanical workshop

Jean Greub dedicated his career to mechanics. After gaining solid experience at Luthy Machines, where he rose through the ranks to become Director, he decided to embark on a new adventure.
His ambition was to set up his own workshop and put his expertise to work for industry. He founded his own mechanical workshop in 1956, working with three mechanics.

1975

A new direction, a new vision

After completing his technical studies and graduating as an ETS engineer, Roland Greub joined the family workshop alongside his father. He supported the company’s development until Jean Greub passed away prematurely, leaving Roland in charge.
When he took over the business, he decided to expand it: alongside mechanical engineering, he developed the sale and purchase of industrial machinery. This development marked a strategic turning point and prepared Greub Machines for future expansion.

1982 - 1984

Structuring activity for better growth

To give a real boost to the buying and selling of machines, Roland Greub created three new entities:

• TSA Machines SA, which still exists today and specialises in machine overhaul and machining.
• Almac SA, dedicated to the manufacture of special machines.
• Almatronic SA, focused on the development of industrial electronics.

Although Almac and Almatronic were subsequently sold to Tornos SA, this structuring enabled Greub Machines to strengthen its expertise and position itself as a key player in the second-hand and new machine market.

2000

A strategic stake in Schaublin Machines SA

As an official reseller of Schaublin machines, Greub Machines seized the opportunity to participate in the takeover of Schaublin Machines SA.
This strategic operation makes it possible to increase the visibility and profile of this top-quality equipment, consolidating the company’s expertise in these precision machines.

2006

50 years of expertise and a growing team

The company is celebrating half a century of existence and continues to evolve. The team is growing, new skills are being integrated and the workshops are being modernised. SUVA compliance and retrofit projects are on the increase, demonstrating Greub Machines’ ongoing commitment to adapting its infrastructure and services to market requirements.

2009-2012

A new generation at the head of the company

François-Maxime Greub was not destined to take over the family business. His career path had led him to other horizons. However, as time went by, he became aware of the unique role he could play in the development and longevity of the company founded by his grandfather and developed by his father.
His return to the helm of Greub Machines is based on a strong conviction: the company’s foundations are solid but they need to be enriched and adapted to meet modern challenges. He brings a fresh vision, combining innovation, process modernisation and new perspectives, while remaining true to the fundamental values that have made Greub Machines such a force.

2017

The creation of the museum of watchmaking machines

Swiss watchmaking is synonymous with precision, innovation and exceptional expertise. Fascinated by this world, Greub Machines decided to create its own museum, dedicated to preserving and showcasing its watchmaking heritage.
This museum exhibits old watchmaking machines, collected over the decades, and provides an insight into the development of the industrial techniques that have shaped modern watchmaking. More than just an exhibition, it’s a project rooted in the DNA of Greub Machines: preserving the heritage of the past to better prepare industry for the future.

2025

A forward-looking vision

2025 marks a key milestone for Greub Machines with the complete redesign of its website. More than just a shop window, this new platform reflects the company’s evolution, its expertise and its commitment to supplying quality industrial machines that have been completely refurbished.
This digital renewal is part of a drive to open up the company: to make access to machines and services more intuitive, to offer greater transparency with respect to the range of services and to establish Greub Machines as a key player in the sector. Far from being stuck in its heritage, the company continues to evolve, adapting to market needs and anticipating the challenges of tomorrow.
With this new dynamic, Greub Machines is reaffirming its commitment to combining tradition and modernity to support its customers with ever greater precision, reliability and expertise.
